I don’t understand, the GitHub repo was created in 2020 and still has an open ticket regarding the license: https://github.com/bobbae/gosling-emacs/issues/1. Also, the Emacs history archive at https://github.com/larsbrinkhoff/emacs-history only has this quote by James Gosling: “It’s fine with me too. Archaeology is a good thing :-)”, I’m not sure if this implies an open source license?

What changed recently?
I also wonder.
