A few months ago I did a little simulation in Java and configured it and analyzed the data via MATLAB. It was really fun! It “just worked” and did so really well. Not much more to share than that, but definitely worth sharing.

Connecting With People
Four trips. In my life I’ve been lucky enough to have four great trips. Three around the U.S.A. and one around all of Europe. At the time I thought the whole point was to see things. Well, you see things, and maybe you feel good about them, too. What you remember though are the people. The only way to connect with the people is by connecting with them. Eating with them, talking, laughing, and crying. Nothing else seems to work. Email doesn’t work. Internet doesn’t work. Phone doesn’t work. Thinking about them doesn’t work. The only way to connect with people is by connecting.

Capturing all output in MS-DOS
Seems like there is not a single example out there showing how to run Tomcat in MS-DOS and capture all of its output. I sure didn’t know how, and don’t remember the post that told me.

Schampa Warmskin and Coolskin Balaclavas
Last Fall I bought a Schampa Warm and Coolskin. They both fit under my helmet comfortably and kept me just warm enough. Even down to 34F, riding just felt great.
Pinlock anti-fog visor
Last year I bought one of these for the RF1100. It is really a brilliant piece of hardware; it “just works”.
For eyeglass wearing folks… remember that if those fog up then the Pinlock won’t offer you much help :).
MATLAB's Rich Java Interoperation
Last night I wanted to figure out how to get rid of the “Start Menu” on the bottom of the IDE and found a solution here. That got me digging into the docs about Java integration. Wow; it just works and seems to work really well. The interop is seamless. For the little coding I did to play around with loading files (it is built in but I was still curious to know) it was really easy to use. Awesome.
